Increasing the accuracy of the WRF-ARW numerical weather prediction model using Corine Land Cover and JAXA data

The geographic data play an important role in atmospheric and weather forecasting. They influence input physical parameters defining the energy balance heat moisture fluxes planetary boundary layer. goal of this paper is to increase accuracy widely used Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) numerical prediction model using a more detailed, 100 m resolution Corine Land Cover 2018 (CLC) Japanese Space Agency (JAXA) elevation comparison global from United States Geological Survey (USGS) containing MODIS LULC land cover data. WRF-ARW variant applied study area 50x50 km Košice region at microscale level with spatial 250 for June 24, 2020. GIS4WRF module QGIS other GIS tools are perform modelling output preparation result analysis. results both datasets compared measured local stations statistically evaluated. use higher-resolution geographical improves overall level.
